How to choose a good Probiotic

How to choose a good Probiotic?

  • Is the probiotic from a reputable brand/company? Do your research.
  • Was the probiotic found in the fridge or need to stored in the fridge? Must be stored in fridge to stay alive.
  • Is the CFU count 15 billion to 100 billion?
  • Does the probiotic have the right kind of bacteria strains in it? If missing the strain your body needs may not be able to heal. See chart below.

I work a lot with Probiotic 11, the 11 stands for the 11 beneficial probiotic strands in the capsule. It is stored in fridge, and has a high CFU count. Natures sunshine is an amazing company. Their quality standards are beyond superior. I personally take 1-2  capsules on a empty stomach daily. Taking a probiotic on an empty stomach helps get the capsule to the gut where it belongs. Also including prebiotic fibre will fead the good guys so the probiotics can make our gut their home. Taking probiotics with out prebiotic fibre is a waste of money. Start slow with prebiotic fibre especially if bowels are not moving daily. A health coach can help you determine a probiotic and prebiotic schedule if needed.
